Today is the day of our big trip! Daddy stayed up so he could help entertain you while I was packing and getting ready. We played outside with friends and waited (kind of patiently) for Poppa Lakso to come and pick us up to take us to the airport. Our flight was delayed so that made the waiting take even longer.

After a rough car ride to the airport, you guys did awesome sticking with me and helping get us checked in at the airport. We had an early dinner and then went to our gate to wait until it was time to get on the plane. We had a really tough time deciding who was going to sit by themselves since two of our seats were on one side of the aise and one was by itself.

After much discussion we all agreed that you guys should sit together and I would sit alone since I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings! When we got on the plane you guys were pretty nervous, especially Aidan. We were waiting on the runway for a long time and the nice stewardess talked with you guys and that really helped.

Once we started to go up Aidan shouted, "Woo hoo!!!" and everything was just fine. The flight was fast and you guys did so great. We got off the plane, got our bags, rented our car, and were on the road to find a place to stay for the night. We were having a hard time finding a hotel and you guys were tired and scared and ending falling asleep in the car. I was able to get us a room in Ottawa and we crashed for the night.

Tomorrow off to Poppa Tom and Grandma Elaine's house we go....
